Claude Code

Install the RevenueHog plugin in Claude Code to get the MCP connector and four skills, authenticate with an MCP token, update it, or copy skills by hand.

The RevenueHog repository is a Claude Code plugin marketplace. Its one plugin, revenuehog, bundles a connector to the MCP server and four skills. You can also add only the MCP server, or only the skills.

What the plugin contains

ComponentDetails
MCP serverrevenuehog, type http, URL https://revenuehog.dev/api/mcp
Skillsrevenuehog-insights, revenuehog-integration, revenuehog-experiments, revenuehog-paywall. See Skills.
SessionStart hookhooks/detect-unattributed-purchases.sh. When a session opens in a project with in-app purchase code (StoreKit, react-native-iap, Play Billing) but no RevenueHog integration, Claude gets a one-line note that the integration skill applies. It prints nothing anywhere else. A .revenuehog-ignore file at the project root opts that project out. Copied skills (below) do not include the hook.

Install the plugin

Add the marketplace

/plugin marketplace add Parra-Inc/revenue-hog

The repository is private, so your GitHub account needs access.

Install

/plugin install revenuehog@revenuehog

Authenticate the MCP server

Create an MCP token in Settings → MCP and make it available to the connector, or re-add the server with a header:

claude mcp add --transport http revenuehog https://revenuehog.dev/api/mcp \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer rh_mcp_..."

Run /mcp to check the server is connected.

Verify the skills

Start a new session and type /revenuehog-. All four skills should autocomplete. Sessions discover skills at startup, so a running session will not see them.

Update

/plugin marketplace update revenuehog
/reload-plugins

If the update reports "already at the latest version", the plugin version was not bumped for that change.

Migrating from an older install

The plugin was earlier named revenuehog-attribution, then revenuehog-integration. Installs are keyed by name, so uninstall the old one first:

/plugin uninstall revenuehog-attribution@revenuehog
/plugin install revenuehog@revenuehog

MCP server only

claude mcp add --transport http revenuehog https://revenuehog.dev/api/mcp \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer $REVENUEHOG_MCP_TOKEN"

Add --scope user to make it available in every project, or --scope project to write it to .mcp.json (keep the token in an environment variable, not in the file).

Skills only

Skills are also discovered from plain .claude/skills/ directories.

mkdir -p <your-app>/.claude/skills
cp -R <revenue-hog>/.claude/skills/revenuehog-* <your-app>/.claude/skills/

Commit the directory and everyone who clones the app gets the skills.

Copied skills do not include the MCP connector; add the server separately.

Using it

You rarely need the slash commands. Claude picks a skill when you say things like "how is my MRR doing", "add RevenueHog to this app", "set up an A/B test for my paywall" or "my product ids are hardcoded". To force one:

/revenuehog-insights
/revenuehog-integration
/revenuehog-experiments
/revenuehog-paywall
