Privacy and sharing

Hide amounts and app identity in the RevenueHog iOS app, build redacted share cards from your numbers or screenshots, and lock the app with Face ID lock.

The iOS app has three privacy tools: privacy mode, which masks what the screen shows; the share composer, which redacts what you post; and Face ID lock, which keeps the app closed.

Privacy mode

Two independent switches under Settings > privacy:

SwitchEffectExample
Hide amountsEvery money value shows as $•••••.$16,284 becomes $•••••
Hide app identityApp names keep their first letter; identifiers keep everything up to the last dot.Habit Loop becomes H•••••, com.parra.habits becomes com.parra.•••••

Shortcut: tap the MRR number on Home to toggle Hide amounts.

Masking is display only. Your data, queries and navigation are unchanged. Widgets do not follow privacy mode.

Share cards

Tap the share button on Home to open the composer. Pick a style: Terminal, Receipt, Gradient, Minimal or Poster. Then set:

SwitchEffect
Redact productHides app names and blurs app icons.
Redact numbersHides dollar figures.
Top apps todayIncludes the top apps section.

The switches start from your privacy settings, but changes apply to this share only. Tap Share to open the iOS share sheet.

Screenshots

Taking a screenshot in the app opens the same composer on a fresh capture of the screen, labelled Your screenshot. Redact product and Redact numbers work on screenshots too, and the card styles are one tap away.

Face ID lock

Turn on Face ID lock under Settings > security. If Face ID is not set up the row says Set up Face ID in iOS Settings to enable.

Require unlock sets how long the app may sit in the background before asking again: Immediately (default), After 30 seconds, After 1 minute, After 5 minutes, After 30 minutes, After 1 hour.

When locked the app shows RevenueHog is locked. and Unlock →. In the app switcher, an opaque cover hides your numbers whenever lock is on, even inside the grace period.
