Workspaces
How RevenueHog workspaces work, what belongs to one, how they are created and named, how to belong to several, and how to switch the active workspace.
A workspace (an organization in the API) is the unit everything in RevenueHog belongs to: apps, credentials, imported data, notification settings, API keys, MCP tokens and members. Every person signs in to their own account and works inside one active workspace at a time.
What belongs to a workspace
| Belongs to the workspace | Belongs to you |
|---|---|
| Connected apps and their history | Your sign-in, password and linked Google or GitHub account |
| App Store Connect, Stripe, Google Play and Apple Ads credentials | Your sessions and registered devices |
| Events, revenue, metrics, customers, reviews, feedback | Your notification preferences |
| Settings in Connections and Preferences | |
| Feedback API keys and MCP tokens | |
| Members and invitations | |
| The RevenueHog Alerts subscription (it unlocks alerts for every member) |
Notification rules are per person, so changing your alerts never changes a teammate's.
How a workspace is created
When you sign up, RevenueHog creates a workspace and makes you its owner.
- The signup form has an optional workspace name. If you leave it empty, or sign up with Google or GitHub, the workspace is named after your email, for example
jane's workspace. - The workspace gets a slug derived from your email's local part (lowercase letters, digits and hyphens), with a numeric suffix if it is taken.
Accepting an invitation adds you to another workspace in addition to your own.

Open Settings → Workspace (the workspace label in the sidebar links here).
WORKSPACE
The name field. "Every app, credential and member belongs to this workspace. Its name is what teammates see when they are invited."
- Owners and admins can edit it and select Save. On success you see "Workspace renamed."
- Names are trimmed, runs of spaces are collapsed to one, and the limit is 64 characters.
- Members see the name read-only with "Ask an owner or admin to rename this workspace."
| Message | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Only owners and admins can rename the workspace. | Your role is member. |
| Give the workspace a name of 64 characters or fewer. | The name is empty or too long. |
| Couldn't reach the server. Try again. | Network error. |

Belonging to several workspaces
You can be a member of any number of workspaces.
- When you sign in, the active workspace is the one you joined first (normally your own).
- Accepting an invitation switches your current session to the workspace you joined.
- In the iOS app, Account → switch workspace lists every workspace with its app count, member count and your role. Tap Switch to change; the app reloads under the new workspace. The section appears only when you belong to more than one.
- The web dashboard has no workspace switcher. It uses the active workspace of the current session.
MCP connections and MCP tokens are bound to the workspace that was active when you created them. See MCP server.
