MRR milestones
How RevenueHog detects MRR milestones on the 1, 2.5 and 5 ladder, when the milestone push fires, why it is sent only once per threshold, and how to turn it off.
An MRR milestone is a push sent when your workspace's monthly recurring revenue crosses a round threshold for the first time.
MRR crossed $10,000
Recurring revenue is now ~$10,240/mo.Thresholds
Thresholds follow a 1, 2.5, 5 ladder starting at $1,000:
$1,000, $2,500, $5,000, $10,000, $25,000, $50,000, $100,000, $250,000, $500,000, $1,000,000, and so on up to $1,000,000,000 per month.
When it fires
A milestone is checked on each new production purchase (BUY) or trial conversion (CONV) with a known price. RevenueHog converts the price to a monthly amount (an annual plan counts as one twelfth) and adds it to current MRR. If that crosses one or more thresholds, one push names the highest one crossed.
- Declines never send a milestone.
- Sandbox events, renewals and free events never trigger one.
- Each threshold is announced once per workspace, ever. If MRR drops below $1,000 and climbs back, you are not told again.
- If the check cannot confirm the threshold is new (for example the database is unreachable), the milestone is skipped rather than risk a duplicate.
Who receives it
Milestones go to everyone in the workspace who has MRR milestones on (the default) and a registered device. They need the RevenueHog Alerts subscription, are silenced by quiet hours, are never time-sensitive, and are never filtered by the minimum amount. With grouping set to By app they stack in their own thread.
Milestones can also post to Slack with a Milestones routing rule. See Slack.
