Webhooks

The RevenueHog Webhooks page: per-app status for Apple server notifications, forwarding to your own URLs, delivery failures, suspension and one-click wiring.

RevenueHog's outbound webhooks are forwarded Apple server notifications. Every verified notification Apple sends to RevenueHog is re-posted to the forwarding URL you set for that app and environment, with Apple's exact signed payload, so your server validates it as if it came from Apple. The Webhooks page summarizes this for every app.

Setting up the URLs is covered in Forwarding. Pointing Apple at RevenueHog is covered in Server notifications.

The Webhooks page

The header shows N of M forwarding. The table has one row per app with APP, STATUS, LAST ATTEMPT and a URLs → link to the app's detail page, where the Production and Sandbox URLs and the test notification live.

StatusMeaning
Not connectedApple's server notification URL does not point at RevenueHog yet.
ConnectedEvents land in RevenueHog. No forwarding URL is set.
ForwardingConnected, and RevenueHog re-posts each event to your URL. The latest delivery succeeded, or none has been tried.
Forwarding · failingThe latest delivery failed or the URL is suspended.

A muted suffix, prod only or sandbox only, appears when only one environment is connected or forwarding.

Wiring missing apps

When some apps show no sign that Apple posts to RevenueHog, a banner offers to fix them all. Confirm: update Apple & save forwarding points each app's Apple URL at RevenueHog and saves the URL that was there as the forwarding URL, so a server that already received Apple's notifications keeps receiving them. Apps already set up correctly are left alone. Each app then shows Apple now posts to RevenueHog or Still needs attention. Open the app to inspect. This writes to App Store Connect and needs an App Manager or Admin key.

Delivery

  • Delivery is at least once, with retries on failure. Failed events are retried for up to 72 hours, mirroring Apple's own retry window, up to 50 attempts per event.
  • A URL with no forwarding URL for an event's environment records the event without forwarding it.
  • A URL that has failed 50 times and has never accepted a delivery is suspended: RevenueHog sends it one real attempt a day. When it delivers again, or when you save the app's URLs, the last 72 hours of suspended events are re-sent. A URL that has delivered even once is never suspended.
